TMK IPSCO is a global manufacturing leader of seamless tubing and casing, drill pipe, line pipe, coupling stock, premium connections and oilfield accessories. Due to our GROWTH and EXPANSION, we are currently seeking a Manager of Technical Support for our Houston, TXlocation.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for directing Technical Support for TMK IPSCO’s Applications Engineering needs including Claims System support and technical data and brochures.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with Technical Sales and Sales & Marketing on claims related issues
· Direct TMK IPSCO’s claims policy related to field failures
· Responsible for the coordination of internal resources in the legal, risk management and creditdepartments with regard to claims management
· Work closely with the manufacturing plants to ensure timely processing claims and preventative/corrective actions
· Develop or update product brochures and technical bulletins as requested by Commercial
· Develop and conduct technical training seminars for Commercial personnel and selected target customers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Requires a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
· Petroleum Engineer (PE) status is a must
· Must possess 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
· Requires expereience in well design, casing string design and risk management
· Strong analytical capabilities
· Previous technical writing experience
· Strong leadership, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
· Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, and training/customer education are preferred
