Manufacturing Engineer Job #2808 Cleveland, Ohio

Compensation: $50,000+ per year.

Well established and growing Cleveland manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to add to their team. This position will provide a mix of office and in-shop duties, reviewing and improving existing methods.

Requirements include:

• A BS Degree
• 4 plus years of engineering experience in a machining environment
• Hands-on CNC programming experience, AutoCAD skills (SolidWorks experience preferred)
• Green Belt certification / Sigma Black Belt preferred
• Ability to work with design, purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and sales personnel

Position duties include:

• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing operations, to include but not limited to fixturing, tooling and methods.
• Develops new processes and implements new equipment
• Performs new equipment qualification and validation
• Programs and troubleshoots CNC programs using CAD/ CAM software or manual methods.
• Identifies deficiencies & implements Lean Sigma principles in all aspects of the manufacturing environment
• Identify and solve related manufacturing problems in a timely manner.
• Works extra hours when required
• Develop, setup, and implementation new machine documentation to achieve the organizational performance, production and financial objectives
• Aids in the development of Capital Equipment Justification proposals for manufacturing facility, as required
• Technical resource for all facts of the machine shop operations
• Familiar with setup, operation programming, tooling, and processes for screw machines and CNC machines
• Analyzes and plans work force space requirements, workflow, ergonomics, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
• Confers with planning, quality, purchasing, assembly and design staff concerning product design quality planning, and fixturing to ensure efficient production methods
• Confers with vendors to determine tooling specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
• Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions
• Performs time studies to create or improve standard work instructions and manufacturing line balancing
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential
• Develops, evaluates, improves set up methods and reduces set up times

Compensation: $50,000+ per year.
