Exciting new opening due to growth. The role is a blend of a sales person as well research and development, but the person should understand product management. It would be a great job for someone who is looking for that next step in their career that will combine technical, operations, as well as sales and marketing experience. In our clients' organization this person will typically have more responsibility than most companies would offer a similar role.
It is desirable, not necessary, that this person have some knowledge of wastewater aeration equipment, however, experience with some type of capital equipment is essential.
This position will provide life cycle product management for all products within the aeration, mixing and disinfection market space. They will act as the Subject Matter Expert in that market space and will function as a primary resource to the sales, engineering and service teams to support the product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and implement product strategy to include development of product roadmap for all products within the chose market space. Defines R&D / Engineering programs in order to develop new products and improvements that contribute to business unit objectives.
Monitors all marketing, sales and warranty activities related to the products and makes recommendations to enhance product performance, positioning and promotion.
Authors and presents both technical and commercial presentations, papers, etc to internal and external audiences including Operations, Sales, and Engineering personnel.
Monitors and assists with all sales activities (bids, quotations, forecasts, pricing strategy, etc) to ensure gross margin targets are achieved.
Envisions, develops and maintains the tools necessary to support the Application Engineering, Regional Manager, Representatives, and Cooperative Partners.
Leads pilot testing program (as applicable).
Support Application Engineering and Estimating in reviewing bid specifications and drawings as required.
Negotiate contract language as it relates to warranty and process guarantees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 5 years of sales, marketing, or engineering experience
Aeration mixing experience is preferred, although not necessary; however, the candidate must have experience with capital equipment
CAD experience helpful but not necessary
This position is a blend of a sales person, research and development, but really should understand product management.
Must be computer literate and have familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
