Looking to step up your career?  Want to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your efforts lead to personal success and compensation?  If you are a Sales Engineer looking to make an impact in a growing company, read on!  As our client’s Senior Sales Engineer, you will have direct responsibility for developing defense, aerospace, federal, education, IoT, automotive, and telecom customer accounts in the Southern California Region. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell and support the Company’s complete product portfolio into these markets:
    • Defense
    • Aerospace
    • Federal Government
    • Education
    • Emerging Markets (IoT, Automotive)
    • Telecommunications (Wireless, Wireline, and Optical)
  • Sell and support these technologies, emphasizing our Client’s products:
    • RF/Microwave/mmWave Vector Network Analyzers
    • Spectrum Analyzers
    • Signal Analyzers
    • Optical Spectrum Analyzers
    • Wireless Network Emulators
    • Optical/Electrical Transport
    • OTDRs (both lab and field environment; focus on IoT applications, 5G wireless protocols, satellite communications, spectrum monitoring, and interference mitigation
  • Effectively present technology-based solutions and value propositions to all levels within target accounts (field level technicians and engineers to Regional Directors/C level executives)
  • Develop/manage OEM and reseller relationships with industry leaders; leverage these relationships into broader market penetration
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to establish, execute, and update business plans
  • Represent the company at trade-shows and industry events
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through disciplined follow-up on leads and customer support requests
  • Update management weekly on sales funnel activity
  • Produce accurate monthly sales forecast by product and customer
  • 50-75% travel
Position Requirements:
  • BSEE or equivalent highly desirable
  • Minimum 5 years relevant technical sales experience; demonstrated track record growing business in assigned markets
  • Demonstrated success selling T&M instruments and applications, especially at field wireless and wireline level
  • Knowledge, experience, and success selling in assigned geographic location
  • Strong sales skillset: interpersonal acumen, negotiations, large account management
  • Lift 75 lbs of equipment into and out of personal vehicle
