Our client is a world leader in laboratory equipment and services, and has an opportunity for a Sales Representative for its industry leading analytical instrumentation used in R&D laboratories. This position will be responsible for direct sales of quality control laboratory instrumentation (density, concentration and viscosity instrumentation) and services to customers covering Delaware, Maryland, DC and the Northern Virginia area.
The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of analytical instrumentation products and services (measuring density, concentration and viscosity) to R&D customers in various industries like academia, food, beverage, plastics, oil & gas, etc.
Primary responsibilities include both the effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new accounts.
The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and be cable of communicating equally well with Ph.D. level scientists and QC technicians.
Candidate must have a B.S. degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or similar technical field and at least some experience in technical sales of analytical instrumentation.
