SENIOR VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER Job in Portland Oregon (OR)

Adecco Engineering & Technical is currently looking for a Senior Virtualization Engineer for a regular Full time position directly with one of our client's

Senior Virtualization Engineer in Portland, Oregon.


*The ideal candidate will have an exceptional technical background and extensive experience in complex, heterogeneous networking environments.
*Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and writing skills are a must, as well as the ability to support sales activities by discussing and presenting technology solutions.

PRIMARY DUTIES


*Design, Planning, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the following:
*Citrix Virtualization experience.
*ZenApp, ZenServer, ZenDesktop Presentation Server
*Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008
*Microsoft application virtualization (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL)
*VMware Virtualization technologies installation and configuration.
*Application availability and performance delivery design and installation
*Pre-sales technical support to include but not limited to:
*Consultative meetings to discuss and understand business needs of Customers
*Design best of breed solutions to fill customers needs
*Creation of Build of materials for solutions
*Scoping of professional services in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
*Discuss technical best practices, concepts, and technologies to present innovative computing solutions.
*Support and provide knowledge transfer to clients both on site and via other means of communication.
*Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, and the within a group when so assigned.

REQUIREMENTS


Minimum 7+ years experience with server Virtualization with expert knowledge of Citrix and VMware
Expert knowledge of enterprise Microsoft environments
Citrix CCIA for XenApp, CCEA XenApp or CCEE virtualization certification.
VMware VCP certification
Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from end-user to senior management about both business and IT needs.
Experience translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
Excellent project management, project scoping, troubleshooting, problem resolution, documentation and customer management skills required.
Cisco Certifications desirable or the ability to acquire within 6 months.
Strong client-facing skills, Assertiveness, Strong communications skills, leadership, self-starter, etc
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Will require 40% Travel
Based in Portland, Oregon or could be based in Seattle WA

-This is a position that requires the work to be performed on-site in a normal 40 hour workweek Mon- Fri during standard business hours unless otherwise stated.
